Jessica Lorenne wrote her first book at 12 after she watched Tolkien's, The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring. It started as a LOTR fan-fiction and then--with the encouragement of her father--turned into the Bearer of Power series from which other relating projects have emerged.
She's ambitiously followed Tolkien's example by creating mythology, races, history, and legends for her Power series while also working on unrelated projects on the side. She started rewriting fairy tales in college because she didn't like most adaptations of Cinderella. Most recently she's been hired by Fiction Vortex to write a series based on King Arthur for their story verse: The Realm Where Faerie Tales Dwell, headed by author Jenni James. She loves anime, k-dramas, cosplay, reading, art and hiking and is hoping to begin a web comic aside from her Galaxy, Lady Ea comic strips. But first she has a lot of practicing to do. Below are some of her favorite books. |
